We celebrated christmas with gidian.On the 23rd, i had a night party and I only wanted Gidian and Uncle Ben in it, but my mom ruined it by inviting more guests to it, which made me mad. When the smiths came to the door, I tried to dump water on them, the water ended up on the floor more than on the guests. On the night of christmas eve, I slept in my dog's kennel with my dog inside and on christmas morning, my pajama shirt got all hairy. I got cheese balls and a new laptop from santa.

Disneyland

We flew on an airplane to Disneyland. We went on Autopia. In Autopia, we drove these cars. We went to Tomorrowland. Tomorrowland was spacelike.
We went to Paradise Pier in Disneyland. Me, my mom, and Savannah went on the California Screamin'. It was the fastest.

Savannah's favorite rides were the "Silly Symphony Swings" and water rafting.

Sophia's favorite rides were the elevator ride in the Tower of Terror and the Matter Horn bobsledding

My favorite rides were the "California Screamin'"roller coaster, Mr. Toad's Wild Ride and Roger Rabbit's Car Toon Spin.

Emily's favorite rides were the Mad Tea Party and The Indiana Jones Jeep ride.

Nick's favorite ride was "Heimlich's Chew Chew Train" in Bug's Land.

We ate at Rainforest Cafe in Downtown Disney.

Turkey trot

I trained for the turkey trot by running 10mp on the tredmill. I got 3rd or 4th place in the turkey trot. It was fun. My mom ran too, then she felt like she was going to throw up. My sisters got 6th or 7th place in the turkey trot. I got my picture taken with Wyoming's Governor, Matt Mead.

We celebrated my Dad's birthday at Aunt Leslie's House. We had cake with chocolate and chocolate frosting made to a rose on it. They had a trampoline and I bounced on it. I saw Powell and held him. Powell was so cute. I said "Powell, you're so cute" to him. Jack and I were bouncing on the trampoline with Powell and were playing deadman. In the morning of fathers day, it was the worst morning ever and I had the worst breakfast ever. In the night it was even better.

Grandma's House/ Puppies

Me and the family went to grandma's house and they had puppies. The puppies were so cute. Everyone liked holding them. The kids gave the puppies a ride on a tiny deere tractor. We were at a reservoir in Wyoming, just my dad and Jecca and me. We used our pontoon boats and went to the middle of the lake. I looked at Jecca and saw that she was swimming. My dad told me that he didn't know that Jecca could swim. Jecca swam closer to Dad's pontoon. Dad looked at Jecca and he thinks Jecca is going to drown. And... Jecca got all wet and Dad got her onto his pontoon.

Today in the evening Nick was playing fetch at Missy with the frissbee. Daddy threw it and it landed on the roof and Missy the dog jumped up on the roof. We went on vacation and came home with a new friend. Ben(Nick's brother) and B'Andra have raised her from a puppy. She is now 7 or 8 years old, and just as sweet and mellow as can be. We haven't heard a bark out of her yet. We're on kind of a trial run, since B'Andra wasn't 100% sure she was ready to give her up. I called my Mom to tell her and she reminded me that I didn't exactly have a good record with keeping pets. In the last 10 years I've had 5 pets, I took one back the same day, kept the rest for a few weeks, and Crosley, Isaac's service dog, we had the longest, she lasted a few months. We'll see if this is the magic pet. Savannah is claiming her as her dog, she likes to walk her and give her commands. So far so good!

Emily had the opportunity to go with Emily's friend Emily to a Dr. Oz event in Colorado. If you're a girl, you probably know who Dr. Oz is, because he is the medical expert on Oprah. He is really amazing, intelligent and entertaining. Emily came home with a new outlook on having my family live a more healthy lifestyle. Nick said, "I've been telling you for years that the kids need to eat more healthy, but Dr. Oz tells you once and you listen?" He says that 70% of our health depends on the choices we make everyday. Nick has been encouraging Isaac to pick a sport to play, but I am just not interested at all. I am really good at bowling on the wii, in fact, he gets turkeys(3 strikes in a row) very frequently. So Emily decided that I'd like to try bowling as his sport of choice. This was not Nick's idea of a cool sport, but wanted to give Me a shot. We had planned to go bowling here in Cheyenne last Thursday, but Nick ended up working late and we weren't able to go. We decided to go yesterday, so we loaded up and drove to the local bowling alley. We got there and the parking lot was overflowing, we walked in and the place was packed with people in halloween costumes. We came home and called the bowling alleys in Laramie, but they were booked up with "Bowling for the Cure". We called Ft. Collins, CO., but they had parties and leagues all day. Nick decided that we could drive the 100 miles to Sidney, Nebraska to go bowling and visit Cabela's. It was the kid's first time bowling, and they had a lot of fun and were very well behaved. None of us broke 100 points, and we were using bumpers(it's a lot easier on the wii!). After our game of bowling, we went to Cabela's, it is huge! The kids enjoyed eating at the cafe, watching the fish, and looking at the animal displays. I asked each family member what their favorite part of the day was, and these are their answers:
Savannah- "I liked the rainbow trout." She loved the aquarium with the different species of fish. We were there looking at fish for 30 minutes, and she still didn't want to leave.
Sophia- "My favorite part was the big huge elephant."
Isaac-"I liked the bowling alley, and getting to pick a treat from the vending machine."
Emily-The best part of the trip for me was buying a cute necklace at Cabela's. I also like spending time with the family and seeing the kids happy.
Nick-The best part for me was coming home."

I wanted to make bowling cupcakes, so Emily told him if he was good for the primary program and did a good job on his part we could make them. He did a fairly good job sitting still on the stand, and said his part pretty clearly. It is always a risk getting him in front of a microphone, so we were expecting the worst. A few months ago he gave a talk in primary on prophets, Emily was helping Me out and he was reading along nicely, then he yelled very loudly, "Joseph Smith was an American!!" Mommmy guesses I behaved well enough during the program to deserve the cupcakes. This was a big project and Emily ended up making them by myself because I lost interest. Next time Emily bribe him, Mommy will make My reward something more simple.

Nick and Emily are in a dinner group with some of their great friends, it's so nice to have some adult time to just talk and enjoy each other's company. October was our month to host, and Emily thought since it was so close to Halloween, it was the perfect opportunity to dress up and play a murder mystery game. It was a lot of fun and even the boys were good sports and went all out on their costumes and got into their role playing. The mystery was called "Murder in the Haunted House." There were 8 rounds of scripts and clues, in the end nobody guessed who the killer was (except the murderer himself). Everyone was assigned a character and given costume suggestions to play their roles. The characters were:

Emily's Evening of Culture on September

My calling at church is 1st counselor in the Young Women's program, Emily get to meet with the 14 and 15 year olds every Sunday and Wednesday. Last Night the girls planned a food around the world activity, each of us picked a country and brought a food dish from that country. We gave a brief report about the church in that particular country. We had a fun, educational evening and the food was really good. I called my brother Darin who had served a 2 year mission in Dominican Republic and asked him for any suggestions. He had several good ideas, but Emily went with the easiest one(that didn't involve goat meat), fried plantains. Fried plantains are the Dominicans version of our french fries, dipped in ketchup and everything. They were surprisingly delicious and easy. Gemma gave us a detailed report on Norway, and made Norwegian Lefse, they were good too, it was kind of like a tortilla or crepe. Kelsey made a pasta salad from Italy, which I had to get the recipe for, it was divine! For dessert, Amber treated Emily and Kelsy to German chocolate cake, of course her Country was Germany. I really enjoyed researching Dominican Republic and hearing all about the other countries, it went so well, that I thought when we come home for Christmas we could do this as a family, are you in?

2 BIG Accidents

Isaac is usually such a sweet kid, that minds his business and doesn't do too much harm. This week has been different, a few days ago he broke our big screen TV by punching the screen with the wii controller. He said "It was an accident." We didn't really discipline him because Nick and I both talked about it and decided that we weren't perfect as kids either and we broke a few things too. Well today he threw a rock at a window in the front of our house and shattered it. I had been outside playing with all of the kids, but had just brought the girls inside. I heard a crash and knew right away what it was. Isaac bolted into the house and to his bed, he knew he was in trouble! He said "It was just an accident." We had fun to make cheseey lightning hit Mushrooms.We made too fun smorz. I found a Mushroom.We went down that scary well to find sticks for campfires .We tried to make a fire Appear.I found a mushroom to get Cheese and Spices.
(just an editors note: This might not make sense to you, but let me explain, Isaac really is right on with the events of the evening. He found a mushroom on the grass, and wanted to pretend it was like the mushroom on Ratatouille. He got some cheese and spices and put it on a stick for the lightening to hit it. Then the scary well he was writing about was the basement window well. We climbed down the ladder into the well to get dried up tumbleweeds for the firewood.)
